Before going through this program, I never went through any mental health programs which felt consistently proper enough to feel like they really counted so, I consider my attendance through this program as more of my actual first experience. And, as a first experience, I thought it was great. Each staff member is great at their job and extremely kind and considerate, you really feel their desire to help everyone going through the program. It was admittedly an adjustment to get used to a group setting for me and I got really grumpy on days I was upset but the more willing I became to accept the program and stop resenting it, I realized how helpful it was to actually sit back and hear others speak and receive feedback. And, the staff did an excellent job in shutting down off-road tangents in a way that didn't feel humiliating or shameful to experience. They did a great job in making sure that everyone got to be heard without anything overstimulating into chaos during process. I would really recommend this place to anyone who feels like they are in a rut or need help of this kind. This place really helped me stop feeling so worthless, hopeless and alone in my struggles by its ability to connect and engage with others and be given feedback in ways to cope. I will admit that most of the coping strategies felt extremely stupid when I first came to the place but I then had a shift in my mentality, to allow myself to actively engage with the skills instead of acting above it. My main advice to anyone looking to enter this program is that you should go into it with an open-mind, this makes the process a million times better for you because no one can truly help you if you cannot even help yourself. That lesson is the most important thing I learned from this program. Thanks a million for this wonderful program!Posted on vikki johnson22/07/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Day treatment programs and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) both offer intensive therapeutic support but vary in the level of care and structure provided. While day treatment programs typically offer therapy and support during the day, enabling individuals to return home in the evenings, PHPs provide more comprehensive and rigorous care, resembling full-day hospitalization without overnight stays.
The key distinction is in the intensity of care and level of supervision. PHPs provide higher medical and psychiatric support, making them suitable for individuals requiring more intensive treatment. Conversely, day treatment programs offer a structured environment while allowing individuals to maintain some independence and continue their daily routines outside treatment hours. Various resources and support for young adult mental health exist in Dallas, Texas, to meet your needs and help you navigate life’s challenges. The transition to adulthood and mental health are interconnected, and at BasePoint, we understand these complexities. Below, we’ve briefly outlined the mental health programs available, each tailored to provide the proper level of care.
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), sometimes called day treatment, delivers intensive mental healthcare during the day while allowing individuals to return home in the evenings. It can be a vital link between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, offering tailored young adult therapy, medication management, and clinical services.
Young adult PHPs are ideal for those needing more substantial support than outpatient care but not requiring 24-hour hospitalization. These programs focus on stabilizing symptoms, preventing relapse, and developing young adult coping strategies. Despite attending during the day, you can maintain connections with family, work, or school commitments, ensuring continuity in daily life. Contact us for a same-day free assessment to determine the most suitable level of care for yourself.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) offer structured mental health support that’s less intensive than PHP. These programs usually entail frequent weekly young adult therapy sessions, group counseling, and skill-building activities. Tailored for those needing more than standard outpatient care, IOPs feature personalized treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic modalities to develop coping skills and foster sustainable recovery.
Flexibility is a hallmark of Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), accommodating your daily responsibilities like work or school. Family support for young adult mental health is often integral to these day treatment programs, bolstering relationships and post-treatment recovery. Emphasis on relapse prevention strategies and aftercare resources ensures continuity of progress beyond program completion.
BasePoint provides crisis stabilization led by a seasoned team equipped with tools and resources to address mental health crises effectively. Crisis stabilization services are vital to short-term mental health treatment, aiming to prevent or lessen the impact of psychiatric or behavioral health crises and thereby reduce acute symptoms. These services are ideally followed by mental health day treatment.

In Texas, outpatient day treatment for addiction recovery typically costs around $1,698 per individual. However, there are disparities in access to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, with Black, Hispanic, Asian, and young adult Medicaid enrollees experiencing lower treatment rates. The Lone Star State continually demonstrates low concentrations of individuals in treatment across multiple categories and services.
On March 31, 2022, Texas had around 139 clients per 100,000 population (18+) receiving SUD treatment, with the majority undergoing outpatient care. Additionally, remote Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) have shown promise in treating depression among young adults, particularly among marginalized gender and sexual orientation populations. Recognizing the signs of mental health disorders in young adults is crucial, as this demographic has the highest prevalence of serious mental illness compared to other age groups. In conclusion, Arlington, Texas, has a health insurance coverage rate of approximately 80.5% of its population.
